The Tandem team had the great pleasure of attending the Union League Boys & Girls Club’s 35th Annual Benefit Gala this past Saturday, November 3rd. The annual event seeks to raise funds for the Union League’s 6 Boys and Girls Club locations around the city of Chicago. This year’s theme was “Opening the Door”. The vision of the Union League Boys and Girls Club is to provide a world-class experience that assures success is within reach to all children who enter through the doors of each and every club. The evening included a silent and live auction, as well as dancing to a live orchestra. Special guests included WGN TV’s Robin Baumgarten and auctioneer David Kaufman.

One particularly unique part of the event this year was the premiere of a video on the ULBGC’s renovation project at their Club One facility in the Pilsen neighborhood. Tandem is very proud to have had a hand in bringing this video to life, along with a team of students and professors of DePaul University’s College of Computing and Digital Media. The 5-minute documentary tells the story of Club One – the history, mission, philanthropy and of course, the renovation project itself, headed by Tandem Construction and the architects of Antunovich Associates. We hope that the video helped to serve as an inspirational part of the evening, and that it will continue to promote the vision of the Union League Boys & Girls Club for years to come.
