We’ve recently completed the architecture and construction work on a custom, single-family home in the esteemed Bell school district in the Lakeview neighborhood. The residence is uniquely set apart from neighboring homes by its French-inspired front façade. Copper dormers adorn the rooftop, and further add to the ample amount of light the space receives due to its many windows. The grounds also feature a masonry three-car garage with stair access to a flat rooftop. This bonus area has the potential to be converted into exterior living space.
The home’s interior space includes a number of distinct touches. One of the most impressive aspects of the house is a curved floating staircase with decorative iron spindles that reaches from the ground floor to the second level. The second level features four bedrooms, three full bathrooms and a laundry room – which was quite the design challenge! Other notable features include two wood-burning masonry fireplaces, a cathedral ceiling in the master bedroom and a media room. From concept to completion, this project took about two years to design and build. In addition to its many desirable attributes, the home is Energy Star certified!
